The PowerTank Lithium LT is a particularly lightweight battery pack and is ideally suited to Celestron telescopes from the following ranges:

• Astro Fi
• NexStar SLT
• NexStar SE
• LCM
• AVX

The PowerTank Lithium LT also uses NMC technology well-known Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide [LiNiMnCoO2] technology which supplies a steady stream of power over an extended period of time and requires less maintenance than a traditional sealed lead-acid battery. Ideal for astronomy as modern telescope electronics react very sensitively to incorrect voltage. When a telescope is operated under a too low voltage, this can lead to the motors suffering under high loads and the electrics can even fail. The PowerTank Lithium LT uses an inbuilt voltage regulator in order to ensure that it consistently delivers at least 11.8 Volts until the battery is almost empty and powers off. Compared to a classic lead-acid battery, the PowerTank Lithium LT is smaller, lighter, more efficient and more environmentally friendly. It offers greater power, a longer lifespan and safe operation than other, cheaper lithium-ion batteries. Alongside automatic shut-down, it offers polarity protection, charging/discharging protection and surge and short-circuit protection. Output voltages:

• Telescope: 12V DC at 3000mA, 5.5mm/2.1mm interior positive pole
• USB: 5V DC at 2100mA

You can simultaneously charge your telescope and smartphone with the PowerTank. Comes with a power adapter with various plugs, a connection cable for Celestron telescopes and hook-and-loop tape for attaching to the tripod. The battery complies with FAA hand luggage restrictions.
