The eyepiece turret makes it possible to mount several eyepieces at once. The desired eyepiece can be brought into line with the focuser on the telescope by simply rotating the turret. This eliminates the inserting and removal of the eyepieces and the need for somewhere to temporarily storage them. The turret can also be used to take a camera in one of its eyepiece sockets.
