The Sky-Watcher StarGate Dobsonian telescope line guarantees ultra-smooth manual operation on both Altitude and Azimuth axes. In typical reflector configurations, the mirror system is open to the elements, making it prone to reflective layer breakdown which lowers telescope resolution. Sky-Watcher overcomes this vulnerability by applying a premium Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) multi-coating.
