Product Description

StarSense Explorer transforms the manual telescope experience by using your smartphone to determine the telescope”s position in real time. Simply place your phone in the dedicated dock, launch the StarSense Explorer app, and follow the on-screen arrows to your selected celestial object. Once aligned, the target indicator turns green when the object is ready for observation.

The telescope features a 6" (150 mm) Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube with a 1500 mm focal length and f/10 focal ratio. The proven optical design combined with StarBright XLT coatings delivers bright, sharp and high-contrast views of celestial objects.

The sturdy alt-azimuth mount includes smooth dual-axis slow-motion controls for accurate tracking and easy manual adjustments while observing. A full-height adjustable tripod provides stable support during use.

The telescope is capable of showing Jupiter”s cloud bands and Galilean moons, Saturn”s rings, the Orion Nebula, the Pleiades star cluster and many deep-sky objects. Even under light-polluted urban skies, bright celestial targets remain accessible.
