The AC 210/1200 optics : With this telescope, Tecnosky offers a refractor with a huge opening: Obstruction-free 210 millimeters mean a selectivity that reflecting telescopes with their annoying secondary mirrors can only dream of! Due to the large aperture ratio of f/6, the optics are also particularly bright.

However , the achromatic doublet with air gap is not entirely free of chromatic aberration at this fast aperture ratio. It is therefore ideally suited for deep-sky observation of wide fields or narrow-band photography, for example HII regions with H-alpha filters or photography with OIII filters and SII filters (Hubble palette). Another important field of application is the separation and measurement of double stars. This optic can also be used with a QUARK filter from DayStar and transforms the Goliath into a solar telescope.

The excellent optics also allow the observation of fine structures on the moon and planets. Here we recommend using the Baader Semi-Apo filter (see recommended accessories) to suppress the color error in light structures and increase the contrast.

The tube of the apos consists of three millimeters thick aluminum with inner screens and is made in Italy. Even the Losmandy rail does not come from just anywhere, but is an original Geoptik product. The Goliath is a real quality product!
