The Telescope Optics:

The Sky-Watcher Heritage-90 telescope, with its powerful 90mm Maksutov-Cassegrain optics, is ideal for observing the moon, planets, and double stars, but can also be used for terrestrial observation during the day at high magnifications.

The Telescope Mount:

The Skywatcher Virtuoso™ mount is a stable platform that automatically tracks objects in the night sky once they have been aligned with the telescope. The telescope can be automatically moved at five different speeds in both axes using the electronic control panel.

A great idea is the patented "Freedom-Find" dual encoder technology built into the Virtuoso™, which allows the telescope to be moved in both axes without losing position data. This gives the user great freedom and convenience during observing sessions.

The Virtuoso™ mount can be upgraded with a SynScan™ AZ GoTo set, allowing it to automatically locate over 42,900 astronomical objects from its built-in database.

In addition to these fantastic features for astronomy, the Virtuoso™ also offers many more for photography:

Camera Panning : Automatically capture images with your DSLR camera in up to six preset positions. The mount automatically stops at these positions and triggers the camera. A Canon-D shutter release cable is included; other cables are available from Skywatcher.

Pan Head for Video/Time-Lapse Photography : The mount can automatically pan the camera to up to six preset positions without pausing in between. Up to five speeds can be selected.

Panorama/Matrix Photography : The mount can control a DSLR camera for large panoramas up to 360°.
