The SkyGuider Pro is a very lightweight mount that allows you to track the rotation of the sky with a camera with interchangeable lenses or a small telescope. This allows longer exposure times. This allows you to take fascinating wide-angle shots of the night sky.

The SkyGuider Pro is the big brother of the very popular iOptron mount SkyTracker Pro . The SkyGuider Pro enables the use of cameras with heavy lenses weighing up to five kilograms . To make this possible, the SkyGuider Pro features a thicker RA axis, larger worm gears, and a counterweight that you can use to balance the camera.

Instead of the counterweight, you can also mount a second camera so that you can record a section of sky with two different focal lengths. This second camera can weigh up to three kilograms .

Optionally, you can also use the Go2Nova hand control and even automatically track it via the ST-4 input.

The SkyGuider-Pro has a built -in Li-Polymer battery . You can charge it via USB.

Most of the time you will probably use the default speed, which allows the camera to keep its eyes on the stars. But it is also possible to select the speed of the sun or the moon. Another option for the speed is very interesting: If you want to photograph stars as well as the landscape or buildings in the foreground, please select half the star speed. In this way, the stars remain punctiform without the foreground objects becoming blurred.

You can also reverse the direction of rotation for all four possible speed levels, so that the SkyGuider Pro also works in the southern hemisphere . This is important because the SkyGuider Pro is also a very good travel mount!

Electronic polar finder: Never crawl under the mount again! With this accessory you can easily and very precisely carry out the polar alignment of your mount on the screen. The electronic viewfinder has a built-in camera. This shows you on your laptop or PC the location of the north celestial pole and the place where the polar axis of your mount is pointing. Simply align the two points with the azimuthal and equatorial adjustment screws of the mount - done!

The location of the north celestial pole differs slightly from the location of the polar star. The electronics calculate the exact position from the date and time . Thanks to the sensitivity of the camera and the large field of view, polar alignment is also possible with a mount that is only roughly set up correctly.

Also works in the southern sky ! At low latitudes, atmospheric refraction is also taken into account.
